Nils Lofgren (todavía no era componente de la Banda) un tiempo antes de editarse el disco escuchándolo en el coche y en casa, junto a Bruce, le dijo que esta canción en concreto sería un exitazo “No obstante vendió 40 millones de discos”.

Podemos tatarear muchas canciones de Bruce, pero ¿ a que esta la tatareais todos? ¡verdad!, pues si, y la bailáis, y botáis,,, Dancing, dancing, dancing in the dark.

Queridos amigos, para dar vida a  este disco Bruce hizo unas 60 canciones, se van descartando unas y otras, van a ir completando el álbum, y la última en hacerse es la que nos ocupa y la que le lanza al mundo entero.

Ahi queda eso “Bruceros”, la marcha que imprime el directo, porque sepáis que muchos “poco” convencidos de Bruce  llegaron a su primer concierto y salieron conversos y convencidos viendo a nuestro Maestro hacerles rendirse a sus pies… doy fe de ello a lo largo de estos años.

Pero OJITO, NO OS OBSESIONEIS CON UNA CANCIÓN.. Si los dioses lo permiten os demostraré que el “hermano de sangre” Bruce tiene más joyitas para vosotros.

El disco entra por el oído por si solo, con unos sonidos muy limpios y unas melodías para cantar y bailar, aparte de algunos toques pop que lo hacen redondo.

Sin más, la canción que da nombre al disco “Born in the Usa”, es como si estuviésemos viendo “Rambo”, pero un Rambo de la calle,  del currito de a pie, una situación social que se dio entre soldados venidos de la guerra, perdedores ellos y rechazados y excluidos por su propia gente.

Algunos saben que dicha canción trajo algunas controversias, pues la misma fue utilizada en alguna campaña política, y a Bruce no le agrado lo más mínimo; y de echo le costo durante un tiempo volver a interpretarla, inclusive la cambio el sonido y la hizo tipo balada acústica; ahora ya en sus últimos conciertos le vemos que aquello ya paso a la historia y la interpreta como antaño
